Our diapers (the kids' not mine and Tom's, because we don't wear diapers not because we have different ones) have Sesame Street characters on them. The kids don't even really watch Sesame Street unless I forget to change the channel after Cat in The Hat, but they pee on them. Anyway, last week (I suspect just to fuck with me) Tommy decided to only ever wear Cookie Monster diapers. Which is like 1/4 of the diapers because he's completely taking Elmo, Big Bird, and Ernie out of the rotation! Well, he says he'd be willing to wear Grover diapers, but since Pampers doesn't make Grover diapers I think this is a false promise. So now Danny gets all of the "off" diapers, and Tommy gets all the Cookie Monster diapers, and then when we run out of Cookie Monster diapers I have to force him into an Elmo one against his will and explain that if he'd use the potty he'd never have to wear Elmo again.
If anyone ever comes up with a sleep-away camp that potty trains your kid for you, they'd make millions. Seriously. I'd be willing to ship my kid all the way to, say, Philadelphia for that. Business class, too. Not coach.

Potty training is going to be the death of me with Connor. I have pretty much given up. There is a three day potty training system that is supposed to work, but I can't seem to find three days to devote only to potty training. If you find any helpful tips for training the most stubborn almost 3 year old, let me know!
We tried a 3 day system about 6 months ago. 5 days later, with NO progress, I just took Tommy's pants off and made him live naked, with the potty in the living room. THAT worked great until I had to put it in the bathroom when Danny started crawling. Then Tommy had to ask to be let in the bathroom and he just started going wherever he happened to be at the time. And Danny was a baby who put everything in his mouth. The 2nd time I found myself washing human feces out of my baby's mouth, we just went back to diapers.
I'm afraid of potty training. We're moving to a new place in just over a month, and Brian thinks it will be a diaper-free zone. I'm going to bribe my child with a new bike if she uses the potty. BTW, it did not escape me that you included me in this post. lol
Ew! I definitely would have stopped as well. I tried the run around naked and got very tired of cleaning up puddles in the toy room. He would go and hide in there to do his business. Also, the no support from someone (who will remain nameless) on his seven days off gets very frustrating. I won't go off on that tangent though. I would LOVE to have seven days off in a row every four weeks!

Thanks, you are now all scaring the shit out of me as I think about my future trying to potty train my son who is now just over a year.
